Project Manager

Edda International is recruiting experienced IT and digital professionals for assignments supporting European Commission projects in Brussels and Luxembourg. The position is delivered by Edda International under a service contract; the successful candidate will work with European Commission teams but will not be employed directly by the European Commission. The precise location and working arrangements will depend on the assignment.

Lead complex digital projects from definition through successful delivery.

The role

You will manage digital projects in a structured European institutional environment, working closely with business owners, technical teams and governance stakeholders. You will be accountable for delivery within the agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality parameters, while keeping risks and dependencies under control.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risks and dependencies.
• Work with the Business Manager and project sponsors to establish the business case, delivery approach and implementation plan.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review deliverables and provide clear priorities and direction.
• Monitor progress, costs and resource use; identify deviations early and implement corrective action.
• Manage risks, issues, changes and decisions through established governance and change-control processes.
• Prepare concise status reports and facilitate steering committees, working groups and progress meetings.
• Build productive stakeholder relationships and support the motivation and development of project team members.

Expertise

Strong command of recognised project delivery approaches such as PM², PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile/Scrum or Lean Agile. Practical experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking, supported by tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Confluence and SharePoint.
